White Twinevine
White twinevine (Funastrum clausum) is an evergreen twining vine with large clusters of fragrant flowers that naturally occurs in swamps, moist hammocks, coastal strands, and wetland edges. Blooming mostly in summer and fall, it serves as a larval host plant for Monarch, Queen, and Soldier butterflies, whose caterpillars have adapted to feed on its toxic latex, while its flowers provide nectar for bees and wasps.
